The Atlas® 9OHSC two post above ground lift is the perfect choice for those smaller commercial repair facilities or The Mr. Homeowner who demands the highest quality at the absolute best price. The Atlas® 9OHSC is a TRUE 9,000 lb. capacity two post lift that offers a great value to the customer. The Atlas® 9OHSC is engineered and manufactured to lift vehicles ranging from Smart Cars® to a Suburban®.
The current model of 9OHSC now comes with 3-stage front arms instead of the old 2-stage, giving more flexibility to your lifting points.
The Atlas® 9OHSC has single piece columns and extra long carriages to ensure years of trouble free service. The single piece columns require the customer to have a ceiling of at least 12 feet to stand up the column.
A single piece column coupled with the longer carriage offers unparalleled structural support for your types of lifting requirements.
The Atlas® 9OHSC incorporates a single piece 11’ 10” formed column and an extra long carriage that provides maximum column and arm strength to lift and support a 9,000 lb. vehicle. Click here to see what other customers think about the Atlas® 9OHSC!the event of a slack or broken chain.
The Atlas® LMA (lawn mower adapter) will transform most two post above ground lifts into an easy to use lawn mower lift, golf car lift, snowmobile lift, ATV lift, or a small sports car lift.
The Atlas® LMA adapts easily to most two post above ground lifts that are equipped with a symmetric arm design. The LMA is adjustable in width to accommodate the many different arm configurations found on two post lifts. The Atlas® LMA can be used in an infinite amount of wheel base configurations (between 32" and 90") to allow the operator great flexibility in lifting different pieces of lawn service equipment with varying wheelbases.
Most of the specialty lawn mower lifts and golf cart lifts are just variations of the economical automobile lift. Golf course maintenance equipment distributors are demanding artificially high prices for specialty above ground lifts that are just subtle adaptations of the very affordable two post above ground car lifts.
When properly installed, the Atlas® LMA can transform most two post above ground lifts into an economical four wheel support lift that will accommodate wheel bases from 32" to 90". The Atlas® LMA plates can be positioned ONLY on two post lift arms that offer symmetric arm configuration.
Please read the following before buying or using the Atlas® LMA:
The Atlas® LMA is designed to work well with most two post above ground lifts with symmetric arms. There are many factors that will determine the SAFE weight capacity of the Atlas® LMA on YOUR lift. Greg Smith Equipment Sales recommends the following LMA guidelines for the SAFE lifting of all specialty vehicles or lawn service equipment.
Many above ground two post lifts have been OVER RATED by certain lift distributor. Your 9,000 LB or 10,000 LB two post may be (in reality) only an 8,000 LB. two post lift.
For the purpose of illustration, let us assume that you have an REAL 8,000 LB two post lift.
This 8,000 LB capacity translates into an important fact about above ground two post lifts:An 8,000 LB two post lift has four lift arms that are capable of lifting (and safely supporting) 2,000 LB. each. If you are lifting an 8,000 LB. vehicle on an 8,000 LB. lift, then the weight of the vehicle needs to be evenly distributed on each of the four lifting points.
This same principle is applied when using the Atlas® LMA as an accessory on your lift. You must distribute the weight as evenly as possible
First, you must consider the weight of the LMA (600 LB) and deduct the 600 LB. from the lifting capacity of your lift. Your 8,000 LB. lift (with a properly positioned LMA) has a new lifting capacity of 7400 LB.
The closer the LMA plate is positioned to the vertical columns, the greater the lifting capacity of the LMA. As the LMA adapter plates are moved farther apart (toward the lift pads of the lift), the lifting capacity of the LMA is reduced.
We recommend that the lift operator DEDUCT 3,000 LB. lifting capacity of the above ground lift when the two LMA plates are spaced at the furthest wheelbase position (90"). When the LMA plates are positioned at the closest wheel base position (32"), then the weight capacity of the above ground lift with the attached LMA should be DECREASED by 2,000 LB.
If you are using an 8,000 LB. two post lift, and you have the wheelbase dimensions set at 32", then the NEW lifting capacity of the lift would be 6,000 LB. If you position the LMA plates so that the wheelbase is 90", then the NEW lifting capacity would be 5,000 LB.
If you are lifting a mower (or other vehicle) that is extremely heavy on one end, then the operator should position the LMA plate supporting the "heavy" end closer to the vertical column and extend the opposite LMA plate (supporting the "lighter" end) further out on the lift arm to accommodate the necessary wheelbase.
