Supersedes DST30P
Laser-Guided Wheel Balancing for Faster, More Accurate Results
The Ranger DST30PX is engineered for shops that demand speed, precision, and consistency without wasted time. Featuring true one-spin balancing, advanced digital sensor technology, and a dual-laser guidance system that adapts to your selected mode, this balancer delivers exact weight placement on the first attempt. Whether you're servicing everyday vehicles or high-end alloy wheels, the DST30PX eliminates guesswork and reduces rework—providing faster, cleaner, and more efficient balancing from the start.
One-Spin Dual-Laser Precision for Exact Weight Placement
Experienced technicians know that the real challenge begins after the spin—when precise weight placement determines whether the job is done or repeated. The DST30PX is designed to remove that uncertainty entirely.
Its integrated dual-laser guidance system pinpoints the exact location for correction weights, eliminating the need for estimation or manual reference checks. Instead of chasing positions, the system projects a clear laser indicator directly onto the wheel, showing you exactly where to place the weight.
The DST30PX utilizes two laser positions—one at the 12 o’clock position and one at the 6 o’clock position—and intelligently activates the appropriate laser based on the selected balancing mode. Only one laser operates at a time, ensuring accurate guidance tailored to the application.
In DYN (dynamic) and STAT (static) modes, the upper laser directs traditional weight placement with precision. Once imbalance is calculated, the system immediately marks the exact correction point, allowing technicians to place weights confidently and move on without hesitation.
The result is faster workflow, reduced repeat spins, and consistently accurate balancing—every time.
Adaptive Laser Guidance in ALU Mode for Hidden Weight Placement
Switch over to ALU mode, and the DST30PX instantly adapts to the job at hand. The lower laser activates, projecting directly onto the inner barrel of the wheel—exactly where adhesive weights are typically installed on alloy wheels.
These placements are often hidden behind spokes or positioned out of direct view, making them difficult to judge from above. Instead of repositioning the wheel or guessing around obstructions, the DST30PX provides a clear, illuminated target right where the weight needs to go.
The result is cleaner installations, faster workflow, and fewer repeat spins.
Built for Modern Wheels and Demanding Workflows
Today’s wheels are larger, more complex, and far less forgiving when it comes to visible weight placement. Customers expect a perfectly balanced ride without compromising the appearance of their wheels—and the DST30PX is built to deliver exactly that..
Designed to handle a wide range of wheel and tire assemblies, the DST30PX maintains its laser-guided precision whether you're working on standard passenger vehicles or larger, heavier setups.
In a busy shop, speed and accuracy aren’t optional—they’re essential. The DST30PX transforms one of the most critical steps in the balancing process into one of the easiest, helping your shop stay efficient, professional, and ahead of the curve.
Direct-Drive System for Reliable, Low-Maintenance Performance
The DST30PX features a Direct-Axis drive system designed to keep your shop running smoothly day after day. Its simplified single-belt design connects the motor directly to the unbalance sensor, reducing mechanical complexity while improving long-term reliability. With fewer moving parts to service, this system helps minimize downtime and lowers overall maintenance costs—making it a dependable solution for high-volume shop environments.
Advanced Digital Sensor Technology for High-Accuracy Balancing
Built for precision and efficiency, the DST30PX maximizes weight placement accuracy while maintaining a compact, cost-effective design. It comes equipped with dynamic (DYN), static (STAT), and ALU balancing modes, along with dual-plane calibration to accommodate both OEM and performance wheel setups.
At the core of the system is Ranger’s advanced Digital Sensor Technology, powered by a 16-digit processor and single-chip architecture. This setup enables faster data processing, improved measurement accuracy, and reduced latency during operation. A dedicated high-speed communication protocol ensures rapid data transfer to the microprocessor, while the single-chip design enhances heat dissipation and overall power efficiency.
The result is a smarter, faster wheel balancer built to handle the demands of modern vehicles with consistent, reliable precision.
Multi-Directional Quartz Sensors for Precise Imbalance Detection
The DST30PX doesn’t just detect imbalance—it analyzes it at a deeper level. At the core of the system is a multi-directional quartz sensor array that measures how a wheel truly behaves in motion. Instead of simply identifying where a wheel wobbles, it captures how forces move through the entire assembly—forward, lateral, and rotational—in real time.
Modern wheel and tire combinations generate complex, overlapping forces that traditional systems often struggle to interpret. That’s why the DST30PX utilizes advanced quartz piezoelectric sensors, one of the most responsive materials used in precision measurement. The instant force is applied to the crystal, it generates a signal immediately, allowing the system to detect even the smallest irregularities that other balancers might miss.
Unlike conventional systems that analyze imbalance in separate steps, the DST30PX processes multiple directional inputs simultaneously. This gives technicians a complete picture of the imbalance, identifying exactly where the issue exists and how to correct it with precision.
No chasing. No stacking weights. No second-guessing—just accurate data that leads to accurate results.
Designed for Modern Wheels and High-Performance Demands
Precision matters more than ever in today’s shop environment. Wheels are wider, heavier, and built to tighter tolerances, while tires feature stiffer sidewalls and lower profiles that leave little room for error.
The DST30PX is built for this new reality, giving technicians the clarity and confidence to get the job done right the first time. The result is fewer corrections, reduced cycle times, and a more efficient workflow—helping your shop move vehicles through the bay faster while maintaining professional, high-quality results.
Full Vibration Signature Capture for Pinpoint Accuracys
The DST30PX captures the complete vibration signature of a spinning wheel, delivering precise, real-time data that ensures accurate corrections on every job. By analyzing the full range of forces acting on the assembly, it provides technicians with unmatched clarity and confidence during the balancing process.
