BendPak 10AP & 12AP Series Car Lifts Comparison

Auto repair shops servicing modern vehicles need cutting-edge equipment to keep pace with rapidly advancing technology. The all-new AP Series two-post lifts introduce a breakthrough design that blends the best features of today’s lift styles into an entirely new standard in car lift engineering.

Built for extreme use, heavy loads, and maximum operator safety, the AP Series stands apart from every other two-post lift on the market. Offering the flexibility of wide or narrow installation in a single configurable package, these lifts are engineered for durability, reliability, and long-term performance. Equipped with advanced Bi-Metric™ arms, the AP Series easily handles both symmetric and asymmetric lifting. Its innovative yet streamlined design minimizes service and maintenance costs, lowering operating expenses while maximizing shop productivity.

Best Overall - BendPak™ 12AP
The BendPak 12APX is engineered for mechanics who demand comfort and efficiency on the job. Standing at an impressive 169” overall height, it provides ample overhead clearance for a more comfortable working environment. Like every lift in the AP Series, the 12APX is loaded with premium features, including a 12,000-lb. lifting capacity, Low-Pro arms, Bi-Metric™ arms, and more—delivering the perfect blend of strength, versatility, and reliability.

  • Can bear a staggering amount of weight for a 2-post lift
  • Automatic Arm Restraint System (AARS) prevents unplanned movement
  • Industry standard measurements that work for most mechanics

Best Overall - BendPak™ 10AP
We think the 10AP Series combines wide and narrow installation options in one versatile lift package. Built for durability, safety, and reliability, it features an expandable top beam and Bi-Metric™ arms that adapt to nearly any vehicle—whether symmetric or asymmetric lifting is required. Its streamlined yet advanced design minimizes service and maintenance needs, reducing operating costs while boosting productivity. However, one important con worth noting is that the installation instructions have been confusing for some, and setup may take more time than the average lift. This lift is nearly $9,000, but if height is something you need more of, another version of the 10APX is available for $400 more, adding nearly two more feet to the standard height.

  • Terrific value for the price offered
  • Expandable top beam accommodates wide or narrow drive-thru configurations
  • Exclusive Bi-Metric™ arm design for more versatile arm positioning
