SnowBear® continues the tradition of great North American made plows with the Proshovel®. It has the same great features of the Personal Plow but with an upgrade of a linear actuator with a clutch and chain as a lifting device. The Proshovel® offers the easy mounting and removal system that utilizes a class 3 2” front mounted hitch (not included with plow). The Proshovel® is perfect for clearing your laneway or small commercial lot, it is rugged enough to deal with whatever mother nature throws at you this winter.
The SnowBear® ProShovel series plow is quickly gaining popularity. The ProShovel plow that is connected the vehicle using a class 3-2” receiver mounting system. The class 3-2” receivers are vehicle specific and are designed to carry the load of the desired plow. In place of the receiver cups on the WinterWolf the ProShovel uses a single point 2” x 2” x 12” solid shaft with 3 depth settings to accommodate various front bumper systems.
The ProShovel uses a linear ball screw actuator for lifting the plow vertically. The linear actuator works using the 12V vehicle power.
The angling is done manually using a 5 position radius. The operator will need to get out of the vehicle, pull the lever and adjust the plow blade to the desired angle ensuring the pin re-engages fully into the hole.
The custom vehicle class 3-2” receiver is manufactured by a number of different manufactures. Curt and Reese being the most common. SnowBear® products are tested using a Curt class 3-2” receiver.
The ProShovel includes as standard, a wireless remote, toggle switch, plow markers, skid shoes, and deflector kit.
The vehicle battery and plow electrics are protected by the 35amp breaker. The breaker does not allow more than 35 amps to serge from the battery unless incorrectly installed.
The installation period is typically 4.5 hours depending on the individual. A customer could budget 3 hours for assembly of the plow, 45 minutes for wiring the harness under the hood and approximately 45 minutes for attaching the custom vehicle mounts to the vehicle.
